Raymond Huber makes a recommendation that caught my interest. He describes the value he got from reading The Phantom Tollbooth by Norman Juster, a book I've never read, though I've heard or read the title often enough. His post is here and here is a little of what he says about the book. I'm now in pursuit of a copy :
"More than any other book I read as a child The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster gave me a love of words– it puns them, pushes them, and explodes their meaning."
Sounds like my kind of read.

Raymond's own book Sting is a good read too. I haven't read the sequel yet but it's on my to-read list.
He's a bee-man. I'll have to track down his book. He sounds an interesting guy.
We keep bees, btw.
