He's bursting out all over, despite the best efforts of the editor of our local rag The Western Star and her righteous friends, to squash his pagan art. Mr Of-the-Hill, pictured here with the sun seeming to shine out of his art, has soldiered on, despite the obstacles being stacked in the way of his progress and seems to be thriving because of it. Now he's been granted funding and support to exhibit all over Invercargill in honour of the rugby and he's not held back his creative urges! This sunny erection, as he's likely to describe it, is one of several driftwood works that are up and about the town. I wonder if the Western Star will run a feature on the success and popularity of one of it's native sons?
