Coffee Club clanger
Just back from speaking about orchards at a 80-woman-strong coffee club in Invercargill.
*Note to self: When talking to a group of women, don't describe the very large apples of the Peasegood Nonsuch as 'the size of a baby's head'.
The wincing was palpable.

It pales into insignificance when put along side the Green fiasco in Hamilton. Why let the truth get in the way of a good scam/sham/bending of the truth.
Oh well. Cant have been too bad, Rg, or you would have posted on it - wouldn't you??
You obviously didn't have the babies in your family,Rg.
At the Dunedin Farmers Market some years ago seem to remember having a Peasegood Nonsuch apple - liked the name, bought the apple, loved the taste.
Every now and again the word verification is so appropriate to your post - this one is so totally inappropriate I cant even begin to share it with you.
Green fiasco Fred?
Do share.
As to babies, Robyn's had three and they had heads (well, one each.)
Was the word verification 'poosnwees'?
Some of them are, I imagine, pretty shocking. I don't ever get to see them, such is my blogmaster privilege.
Worse, Rg, worse.
I see you have posted on the fiasco so I will watch with interest.
I guess there will be a bit of this these coming weeks.
The difficulty could be sorting the 'curd' from the 'whey'.
'fiasco'
FIASCO
Said in a shrill, overly-excited way, or with an ominous bass rumble - something Orsen Wells-ish?
Maybe a Jaws-ish background thrum?
I'll go with the Orson Wells bit.
Maybe I'll roll thunder in the shower tonight.
Goodnight my friend. May your sleep be deep and peaceful for tomorrow more will come to the surface of this intriguing tale.
