New driftwood art

This arrangement looks to have been made by someone other than our resident driftwood guy. This one stands right beside the accursed viewing platform and should offend no one :-)
I like it.

Looks life the white elephant wants a piece of the action

And it'll be getting its fair share shortly.

It wouldn't last long here in treeless country, someone would be down on it on no time with a chainsaw.

Why is the viewing platform accursed?

No body really knows wildcrafty, it just is.
Perhaps it's because it was foisted upon the community without genuine consultation?
Perhaps the on-going cost to Riverton rate-payes has something to do with it?
Maybe its relative uselessness, the regional funding it diverted from more worthy tasks?
Hard to pin it down exactly but there's plenty of discontent. Lots of theatre too. Who can forget the opening of the White Elephant hunting season, or the running up of the flag? The driftwood is a tohu of things to come. It's going to be a very merry spring and summer in this wee village.

Fair point Robert, the white elephant opening season was pretty funny.
Was looking at the platform the other day from above the Aparima and admired the fact that it was high and dry, just like most of the board members who voted for it....

Nothing much has changed Southernright -will you join us for our 'driftwood extravaganza' when we festoon the platform with driftwood? It'll be a community event and there'll be plenty of forward-notice. All in aid of the spirit of creative action and fun!
