I collect neckties and wear them to council events and special occasions. Whenever I get the chance, I scour second-hand clothing shops for rare and unique ties and today I got such a chance. I found this wee cracker of a tie. It has tiny golden ploughs as its pattern. I'll wear it whenever there are ploughmen about or the subject of soil conservation comes up. Only once mind! I've enough to see me through several years of meetings and I try not to bore by repetition.

I'm sure Hp will have a word to describe you, Rg, but I do enjoy your sense of occasion. I only hope the team at council are aware of your antics/efforts!! Have fun.
They monitor my blog Fred, if that's what you mean. However, that's only half the story. I had Paul Henry asking after me on Thursday's 'Paul Henry Drive' and am on RadioLive tomorrow morning so they'll have to be nimble to keep up!
