The Hollow Men

Just watched the film on Maori Television.
The stench of rotten politics clung to this story of the National Party's cynical and calculating power grab that lead to the situation we find ourselves in now.
Great film-making, sad tale. The sight of Georgina Te Heuheu and Katherine Rich getting dealt-to by the National Old Boys machine was perhaps the most stomach churning aspect of what went down, but I've a particular interest in the Brethren connection, so glibly denied by Brash and Key - straight to camera, cold-eyed lying.
Nothing has changed and now we've another election just ahead.
Trust the polls do you?
And Key?
Brownlee? Collins? Joyce? Bennett? English?
I've a bridge...

Robert, I think you need to take a little more perspective than the deluded rantings of Hagar.

It came out after the election that the Bretheren had met every political party, including Liarbour who led the charge against the Bretheren.

What is cynical is the left complaining about a non event - being the Bretheren involvement in politics, whilst blithley ignoring union involvment.

If it hadn't been for the smokescreen Liarbour were able to throw up around the Bretheren involvement, Helen would have been out on her ass in 2005. As it was it was only the bauble seeker deciding he could gain more for himself from Liarbour that swung victory to the left.

The blame for the state we are in is best laid squarely at the feet of Liarbour and their failed policies.

Paranormal

What a rant paranormal! I don't believe Hagar's writings to be deluded at all. I found them measured and accurate, in the main. I've described my concerns over the Brethren affair before and the relate, not top their actions (all's fair in love and war etc) but to the dishonest manouverings and claims from Brash and Key.
