Hanging around the wharves

Another clear, still Riverton morning. I went to the wharves to see what I could see.
I saw (some people say they are but that's part of being a fishing village) a rudder on a boat that was far from ship-shape, a soft-plastic lure left lying about and a bollard (or is it a capstan?)

Ah! Of course - bronzed sailors bending their muscled backs to the task, cat o'nine tails whistling an encouraging tune all the while...
My parents smoked 'Capstan Cork' cigarettes but there were no sailors on the packet, only what looked like a bollard, though I recall a cross-pin - that'd be for turning the thing I expect. I'll do a search and post the image. Thanks Pdogge.
