Mad Lord Monckton

Don Nicholson will love this, and so do I. It's rumoured that the fruitiest loop of all climate change deniers is coming to New Zealand for a 'debate'. Monckton represents the absolutely barking end of the climate change spectrum and his toffey-nosed views will do the other end a power of good, should he make it out here without being quietly removed from the aircraft by strong men in white-coats and popped into the back of a windowless van. Monckton is very vulnerable to mockery and blows his Tory top when teased about the silliness of his views. Don Nicholson might be hosting the Mad Monck, if his itinerary includes the Deep South and the two will get on like a barrel-full of ... monkeys!
Entertainment alert!
I'll be covering any public meetings that occur and have a few comments I'd like to make along the way.

Judging by NIWA's Jim Renwick's response, Monckton might struggle to find anyone to "debate" with.

And rightly so. There is no point in scientists giving oxygen to idiots like this.

Excellent my good Toad and very funny too. That g.blog of yours is looking very smart in its new livery. I'm going to visit often. Can't think why I got out of the habit (said the monck).

Yes - Renwick wouldn't want his shonky science thrown open to the glare of sunlight. Carry on you flat earthers.

I guess in your closed mindedness you didn't see Lord Monkton debate at the Australian Press Club. He was up against Professor Denniss for your lot.

It was a sorry one sided affair. Denniss came armed with a pocketknife to a gunfight. He used platitudes and emotion and 'consensus' in the face of a stream of cold hard facts from a well educated lord Monkton.

Says it all really. Thats why you lot repeatedly stoop to ad hominem and emotion as your arguments just don't stand up in the light of day.
