Frightful

The weather outside is. We're being lashed. Thunderclaps rend the air. Hails sheets the ground and there are snowflakes sprinkled all over the weather map in the newspaper. Thank goodness I stacked the veranda high with firewood. But did I saw enough?
I don't know.

Here we are, gathered about our fireside, warming our cockles.

Similar stuff coming for us in the North Island; no respite this week by the looks of things.

Ah well; it IS winter. For a while there it looked as though we were going to go straight from autumn to spring!

PS: saw my first lambs of the new season on Saturday en route to Palmy North; better stock up on mint sauce!

Oddly enough, it's come out sunny here!
I'm off outside to saw some timber. I'll have my beanie on though - it's not warm at all!

Was a sunny, warm (relative) NW day in North Otago. The daffodils are flowering and buds are popping! That price on pollution came just in time, or did it?

We can buy our way out of climate change?
Yippee!
