Zen moment

I'm struck by how enjoyable it is to carry firewood back to the house in my arms, rather than use the wheelbarrow.

If it wasn't for your attractive photos, Robert, this post verges on something from the Dullest Blog in the World. :-) However it did, motivate me to light a fire.

these things are etched in our mind from our caveman days rob - same as gardens and a sense of prospect - a view of a landscape that has both openness and cover makes us feel secure - they are instinctively good. We do these things and feel good because they are natural for our survival.

The squirrel instinct - happiness is a large pile of firewood at the start of winter.

you are obviously getting in tune with your inner caveman.

You want it, or you lug it up to your house from your garden?
If it's the latter, I'll be round later.
