Both Bill English and Heather Roy have flipped 360 degrees on their previously held views on prisons.
Now, it seems, prisons don't work and cost us huge amounts of money.
Road to Damascas much?
National - soft on crime!
Garth McVicar is spitting tacks.
Had these politicians (McVicar excluded - he's a dangerous loon) listened to the Greens, who have been talking sense over this issue for ever, we'd not be in the disgraceful position we find ourselves in now - a country with ridiculous numbers of its people behind bars.
Can't wait to hear Crusher Collins munching on crow!
If the Rightwingers are doing a political turn-around here, will they apologise for their until-now held Neanderthal views?
My view?
It's a massive, highly-spun con on the public of New Zealand and behind it will be some fiscal issue that National has become aware of.
A soft, caring Judith Collins?
A National Party, embracing rehabilitation?
I don't believe it for a moment.

Maybe they flipped only 180; at 360 they'd be back where they started.
Nice little blog, though. Keep it up and stab the bastards where it hurts.
Ha!
Thanks Anon - geometric glitch right there!
