Angel appears to woodcutter
Should have saved this til Sunday I suppose.
I expect there'll be a youtube-y style rush to view this special image.

I'd be selling it on eBay if it were mine. It has no value for a non-believer like me, but I'm sure some folks in the USA would see it as a sign from god.
Who could put a price on a sign from heaven?
(How much do ya reckon Armchair?)
It's just firewood to me. I have a grand total of 80c to my name at present, so to me it's worth 80c.
Have you considered slicing it into 5mm thick rounds and selling them as coffee cup coasters?
What sort of wood is it?
80c is the best offer yet - I'm tempted to accept it but with postage,...I'm not so sure.
Your coffee coaster suggestion is good - perhaps that's the way forward, but am I cheapening both myself and the icon?
Stick it on trademe as a fundraiser for the environment. TM auctions that are fun and well written often do well.
At first I believed it might be gopher wood, but then wondered if I was letting my early Sunday School experience colour my judgement.
It's kohuhu, and I'm begining to think this figure might represent a Maori kehua, causing me to be anxious about the idea of selling it at all.
Who am I to sell he taonga Maori, especially one that might be imbued with wairua?
wild*crafty - nice suggestion. We're putting it up now.
You'll be bidding?
I feel the force in this one.
Going anywhere near a Tm auction is a dangerous game for me these days ;-) Will follow the action though. Is it up yet? I looked for riverton +angel
Crikey, there's two side by side sections in Riverton up for $35,000. How is that possible?
(see what I mean?!).
You're a danger to yourself wildcrafty but it'd be great to have you living here in our wee fishing village.
Do you have the addresses? I could advise you :-)
Angel not up yet. We've been thrown into turmoil by the receipt of another sign!
Not this property is it?

Another sign? What is it this time? Will it cost more than 80c?
Is the sign in an apple crumble? 8-)
Here's the properties, and the front lawn is a definite improvement

Ahhhhh! Those sections!
I know them intimately, having been the most recent owner. I bought them on behalf of our estuary care group, to be developed into a wetland pukeko reserve, a hop, skip and a jump from the centre of the village. My plan was superseded by another and we sold-on to the present owner, who I see is selling. The land is suitable for ...pukeko. It could be built upon, but it's not where I'd choose to live. Good price though. It's below value.
I wouldn't mind living with some pukeko.
What about this one, at $39,000

I didn't realise you could still buy land for those kind of prices. It's good to see.
Our own 2 acres cost $6 thousand 20 years ago. We bought a further 1/4 acre for the community orchard, behind the fire-station, for $7 hundred.
Ah! Those were the days!
We might see those days again with any luck ;-)
So now she's been promoted to Archangel!!!
She's becoming more special by the hour.
Her specialness doesn't seem to be translating into dollars just as yet...bloody heathens.
We have a bid!
Can't sleep with excitement!
