Essential read

If you have 10 minutes to spare this Mother's day, this article from The Standard is more than worth the time. It's enormously revealing and relevant to the situation we find ourselves in here in New Zealand.
I'd love to hear what any and all of you think about the ideas described in the post and will leave it up while I'm on my way to and staying in Nelson. My sister Claire passed away during the night so I'm off to be with her family and my brother and sister for the funeral and all that goes with that.

Thank you all very much. Claire was only 51 and that seems very young to the elder brother.

I'm so sorry, Robert. I lost my sister, also far too young, nearly ten years ago, and it still seems such a waste

Sorry to hear of your loss Robert especially at the young age of 51yrs. My sister died a few years ago now at 62 yrs I still feel the loss. I knew it was coming as it was from cancer. I had time to prepare but when it happened it still was a shock and to me a unfair loss. God be with her family in this time of grief.

The funeral was this afternoon and was very emotional and funny too, as Claire was a bit of a riot. I spoke first and said that if I could get hold of whoever it was that designed Claire's fate, I'd give them a good, swift kick, as it wasn't at all fair. Too late for that now and we're moving on. Tomorrow we are off to visit some old friends around Nelson, then we'll head home to Riverton, somewhat older and wiser (I hope).
