Poke your apple onto the prongs of the peeler, corer, slicer and turn the handle for 5 seconds. Pull apple spiral free, run a knife blade through the centre then arrange 'moons' on cane frame. Place into dehyrator cabinet and turn fan heater on (low, cool setting) Leave running for 2 hours.
Here they are.
Practically effortless and able to produce dried apple by the bucket-load!

Hmmm.. true! I'll eat the skins as they come off.
Yes, that is a cane blind - they are easily found in second-hand shops, along with the baskets and trays I collect for drying seed. Our dehydrator has two trays, one on top of the other and can do a lot of slices per-dehydrate. Keeps the room warm too and fills the air with apple-y fragrance.
Also hypnotizes the environmentally challenged
