The Flintstones

Paul, Andy and Sam Collins, oddly enough, are crushers ( I've no idea if they are related to Judith, who features in my previous post.) They crush the rocks that annoy farmers, rocks that lie in their paddocks, being annoying and uncompromising. The Collins boys have bought a crusher and they drag it through stony ground so that it can reduce big stones to small, small to inconsequential.
The article in the O.D.T. 'Focus on farming' supplement says,
"It was satisfying to see the transition from a paddock full of stones to a paddock that produced more grass for a farmer, ultimately enhancing his or her bottom line".
"Crushing was slow work, not like usual cultivation, with the tractor usually creeping along at 1-2 kmh. The stones and rocks were picked up and then smashed in a steel chamber, which spun around at high speed."
Fred and Barney got nuttin' on these guys!

Perhaps if the didn't rely on the machinery to do all the work their bottom line wouldn't be so enhanced.

Ah! The Gerry Brownlee clause!
I'd love to see him breaking rocks.
