A furious fire is not something that sits well with the 'conservation ethic'. You'd hope to see filmy ferns and plashing streams, rather than an inferno, as you walk through the forests of our national parks. Aside from the horror of what is happening to the remains of the miners underground that is - I don't mean to diminish the awefulness of that situation.

And grieving families faced with the possibility of not getting their loved ones back.
This is getting beyond awful for them.
