From cradle to Kradal

My title's a poor taste pun but its subject sounds a great idea - cushioned tiles for the floors of rest homes that "reduce the shock of falling by 65%". I'm not entirely sure how that translates into harm done to elderly people who have falls onto the polyurethane topped, rubbery-foam undered flooring but any improvement in the chances for an elderly person to survive a fall unharmed is a good thing. This article from the Southland Times caught my attention in part because my own father fell onto a hard surface and broke his hip, and died during the recovery period from the surgery needed to repair the break.
With an increasing number of elderly people in our community, products like this will welcomed.
