Countdown to Friday
Voting forms arrive in mailboxes at the end of this week, so the intensity of the campaign increases - for those who think it's worth going hard at it - and I do, so today I pedalled furiously from North to South, racecourse Road to Pomona Street, slipping 'vote for this bloke' flyers into any letterbox with a slot!
Moana street is very different from Lithgow street. One of them has a 'no junk mail' sticker on nearly every box. I expected pitbulls to savage me in the other, and I did see two ...cats. It was very friendly and peaceful in both locations.
As I'm planning to say in the opening to my television appearance next week on the Environment Southland candidates 'debate', I've developed thighs like those on a kangaroo!
Tomorrow, I'm staying at home and writing about glasshouses.
I hear a deadline whizzing past!

Odd that your interview is after the voting papers arrive
I think so too Bioneer!
I'm reliably informed that voters vote early or not at all, generally speaking.
I hope some will be inspired by the fascinating stories of the ES candidates and dig the forms out of the bin, un-crumple them, tick then send them away!
Thighs like a kangaroo ah, would that be because of the GE grain fed to all those poor baby chickens that you eat from KFC as you slurp down all that coke from your plastic styrofoam cup before biffing it in the gutter.......
or is it because your bike doesnt have gears?
You're right Right, but forgot to mention the steroids I inject as I get to each intersection!
And of course my bike has no gears - the old wooden ones never do!
