Oil's well in Shetland

"The government is acting as if the gulf spill never happened"

Sounds like New Zealand, but the story of a new deep sea oil well comes from my ancestral home of the Shetland Islands, where the same high-risk nonsense that we hear about regarding the Deep South Basin, is being planned in the deep waters of the North Sea.
And the threats to wildlife are cited as a very good reason not to meddle in deep waters, where accidents are almost impossible to attend to rapidly and effectively.
Puffins are the threatened birds there matching their cousins nga titi that will cop it if an accident were to occur in our own deep ocean.
