Just when you thought it was safe to go into the garden......bad news from a cabbage patch in Nelson!
Caterpillars from a species called 'Great White Cabbage Butterfly' have been found in a garden nearby to Port Nelson, munching their way toward butterfly-hood.
Once they've got wings, they'll be outa there and that's not good news for gardeners like myself, despite Riverton's distance from Nelson.
I'll be following this biosecurity breach with great interest and buying another tennis racquet in readiness.
