Yesterday morning was very warm. It was t-shirt weather when I was digging holes for the fence posts at the orchard park in Castle Street but by afternoon, when I was pruning apple trees in the community forest garden behind the fire station, it cooled right down and began to rain. This morning, following a night of starry skies and periods of rain, there's some light cloud and a fresh breeze. The afternoon, when we'll be pruning apple trees at the West Plains orchard (450 to go, 250 done on Thursday), looks like it will be fine and calm.
