Ah! Mystery location for private bathing. Not really. This bay will look unfamiliar, as it has been 'growing' over the past few years and is now much bigger than it was previously. It's right around 'the point' - Howell's Point (Taramea Bay) that is and yes, it does look calm. It was quite warm, relative to other bays nearby, though I didn't splash about for very long. It has a name too, and a history and I'll share that with you the next time we meet :-)

always take pride in identifying where photos in Southland are taken but this one has me beat. Around the Rocks is my best bet but looks too calm.
