Soaring temperatures bring swarm
It's been cool in Riverton for weeks now. Last summer's constant heat is nowhere to be felt and grey cloud has replaced the sunshine of last January. However, yesterday the mercury rose significantly and we were bathed in heat, as were the bees of the district. Some of them chose to swarm then cluster in my garden. I collected them into a cardboard box, as is expected of any bee-keeper. I did not perform the relatively simple operation without getting stung.
