Redirecting Mike Joy's brain

Oh my goodness!
This snippet of a quote from Irrigation NZ chief executive Andrew Curtis will make you draw a quick breath.
"It would be useful if the excellent brains and resources of people such as Dr Joy or Parliamentary Commissioner for the Environment Jan Wright could be redirected..."

The rest of the article is just more of the pro-irrigation propaganda that's been flooding the farming newspapers over the past year or so, but that passage from the Irrigation CE is most revealing.
Redirect the brains indeed.

Redirect your gaze people, look away from those murky brown rivers. It is inappropriate that people personalise this issue, do they think that if they silenced Mike Joy that the problem of dirty rivers would go away?
