I knew it!

Surveillance drone beside my echiums!
The tiny camera at the centre of the drone was looking straight toward my bedroom window.
If I had a rock at hand, there'd have been plastic shards everywhere!
Bloody John Key and his GCSB!

A drone with a camera is bad enough, but in Pakistan they have missiles. I think I missed the bit where we slipped through the portal into the dystopian novel.

This one may have had small missiles.
Or it may have belonged to a friend keen to take some footage of the food-forest from the air :-)

Your reputation (which is all I can go on having not met you) is of someone who will happily share gardening info and tips, no one would need to spy.

Open book, me. That said, I'd not seen my garden from that height before and the footage is spectacular. I'll post a link to it as soon as it's edited. You'll be able to see the drone operator standing on the veranda roof and me in the garden waiting to catch the drone when it landed.

aaaah they are looking for the southern Len Brown perhaps peering in bedroom windows. Bloody local body politicians, never know what they get up to in all those closed sessions.
I hear Len is sponsoring the anti smacking bill so the next one can get a good spanking and told to shut up.
God life for the normal people is so damn boring.
