Nice! Where'd you find them? Some of the cast of Monkey, aka Journey to the West. Left to right, Pigsy, Monkey, and Tripitaka's horse. Missing are Tripitaka and Sandy. Nothing is straightforward in Monkey. Even the horse is a river demon doing penance for having eaten the original horse.
On closer examination I spotted the saintly and irritatingly wimpish Tripitaka mounted on his horse. In the great 80s Japanese TV series he was played by a gorgeous actress.
I watched the 80's shows so know what you're saying about Tripitaka - she was as you describe. Yes, mine's the saintly and wimpish version. Sandy's there behind Monkey. You can just see his pike/staff/half-moon thing. I'll shoot from another angle. They are very well crafted/cast figures in a brittle type of plastic - kinda bakelite-ish. Bought them at a very odd garage sale.
