Weather-wise, we were plunged back into the heart of winter. There was fresh snow on the Longwoods and a chill westerly blew.
As well as the usual three balloons to mark our sale, I employed a mosquito net to catch the attention of potential garage-salers.
I offered neck-ties by the score. Some sold. Not all. By any means.
Liz went up for sale, cheap at the price.
So did my tally-ho, tantivy, tantivy glass, what!
I tried to sell my 'Luddites' book and a loom, but Adam claimed them back in the nick of time. My Spintillers, went, as did a hay-fork and a steel-wheeled push mower, though they passed on the canvas catcher - go figure! Lots more. It was fun. Cold though. Thank goodness for coffee and warm conversation.

Reading your report of the snow and chill wind, sounds like my family's decision to postpone our South Coast, Port Craig tramp this weekend was a sensible one.
Enormously sensible, you should all thank your lucky stars!
It's freezing!
