Indeed. He's got this on order from Italy and awaiting its arrival. The body-work's exquisite and I can't wait to hear what the engine sounds like.

I think it'd be a much safer option to have some-one personally pick it up and courier it to him, given its gorgeousnessnessnesss.

I'm available to fly to Italy any time you like, just chuck in 2 first-class plane tickets, accommodation for a week, and we've got a deal!

Tickets etc on their way, suz. Can't tell you how grateful I am for your offer. Towey got in touch the moment you posted your offer and said that purely by serendipitous good chance, he was going to Welly and would drop them off to you, personally! What about that! He did say though, that he had to visit an old friend of his, "Luigi" on the way, and might be a day or two. It was odd, the way he said that - "on the way" - still, Towey's trustworthy, eh, Suz!

OMG!!! Red-letter day for me or what!! Meeting Towey AND doing my favourite blogger's son a HUGE favour!

Am already designing a fantastic 10 course degustation menu for Towey and Luigi (assuming the latter will join us, as it's Italian-based and any friend of Towey's is more than a friend of mine).

Ciao for now.

Would you like a little something to cover the cost of ingredients for your meal, suz? I'm pretty flush at the mo and Towey's a huge eater!

In Sicily, the above comment would get you killed (just ask Luigi), and I urge you to retract and delete A.S.A.P.

Sicily is presently in the thrall of collapse, Suz, bankruptcy I'm told, so they'll not be bothered by my diavoletto-may-care comments. 'tany rate, I like to live dangerously.

You under-estimate Sicilian pride, (foolish kiwi)...feeding others is like breathing to them.

I too like to live dangerously: PLEASE let's set up a day to sky/dive, bungey, or something similar.

A day in the Council chamber?
This coming Wednesday will be perilous enough to satisfy the most foolhardy.

Have had to cancel trip to Welly, heard that Trevor Mallard is now Southlands 'buddy' mp for Labour and am still laughing, will not recover in time.
Please start dinner without me.

I find a very effective way to calm my hysteria, Towack, is to go and read Eric Roy's blog. That'll sober you up!

Actually I did once - then I emailed him from it as he had posted on education and how important it was. I asked it why if it was so important did he feel it ok for the high speed broadband line that passes through Riverton to miss both our schools and head on to Te Anau (of course Frana made sure Te Anau got it).
Got the usual line for the answer.

I'd love to put that correspondence up as a post, Towack!

The I-pad apps for Accordion and other Musical instruments look useful

Thanks Colin. Adam's making a wonderful job of moving from whistles and flutes to accordions and is loving every minute of it. Now, when he visits, we get an orchard full of accordion tunes, rather than the whistled jigs and reels we were accustomed to. It's lovely.
