I think the tangata whenua fell for the same line a while back - what's a few acres? - you have plenty

always cheaper to buy than to invade - particularly when the natives don't appreciate the value of what they are sitting on and you have a Judas is running the country.

Surely if normal commercial protocols had been followed, Crafar farms would have come up for sale as individual lots.
This could have helped avoid the various fishooks that will inevitably
arise and will no doubt be ignored by our ” implanted” Prime Minister and his indoctrinated followers.

Amen to that, darkhorse.
The enablers meanwhile, are arguing strongly for their man, "Sell 'Em Up" Key and are relying on disparaging claims to counter any intelligent comment.
As they do.

Yes, Colin, that's the salient point.
Wonder if the question will be asked loudly enough?
Guess not, going by the dampeners that have been put on other pertain ant questions since the John Key Party came into power.

My gut feeling that the reason Solid energy is sooo keen to mine the Eastern Southland lignite is that they have already sold this resource to Chinese interests.

It would explain why Elder is so secretive and precocious about the mining the lignite. It would also explain why he has never considered any other options to produce bio diesel etc such as wood energy.

That's dark, Pauline.

Yeah maybe Robert it is dark, but highly possible, we know the Chinnese use coal a lot with their building empire its why some of there cities air is so smog polluted.

The question about individual sale or bulk job lot is not a question for the public. That is purely a decision to be made by the receivers/liquidators in consultation with the owners, currently the bank. It is none of our business how they are sold.

FWIW I understand the farms range in quality and the decision to sell as a group was undertaken to maximise total price and ensure the bank was not left holding poorer quality farms.
