Yes it is, bsprout, and dead and dried. I found him just under the surface of the soil in the garden in front of the veranda. In theory, I could put him in the blender, make a caterpillar-shake and spray it over anything that had caterpillars on it, and it would/might serve as a caterpillar-a-cide. The backgound for the photo is a Spanish/English dictionary :-)

Isn't this a fungus filled caterpillar? I was shown one many years ago in the Longwoods by a keen amateur entomologist.
