Nah, the hands on hips and the smile are an uncomfortable juxtaposition. Won't stop me voting Green, but I don't like this billboard

I've always thought the Green poster shots were candid and unposed-ish. Photos of supporters and their kids. Am I being naive?

The more I think about it, the less I like this.

Oh the symbolism!
White single parent family.
Only dad and Barbie with sun protection though.
And the rod! What the hell are they thinking of catching in that stream, plastic bags? Little Bobby has the net ready, or have they already caught one?
And then The Maori kid. Pants held up with rope but wearing a greenstone thingie on a leather cord. Smug pose which seems to say. 'Fish away, suckers. Soon it will all be mine'

Maybe the Maori kid is being fostered by the Pakeha family?

Ah Anonymous, you're sooo P.C!
Sun protection! We're New Zealanders and can choose whether we wear a hat or not, and at any rate how can you tell they're not sun-screened to the max?
The 'Maori Girl' (sure she's not Samoan? Tokelaun? Cook Islander?) has her shorts held up by the cord they came with (where you see smug, I see enjoyment) and the rod might well have a lump of corned-beef tie to it, in order to catch a crawlie! You lack imagination Anon.

Get that poor child out of the water before their feet burn off!
