Lawn Order
From the Southland Times
Punch-up at mower racing 'blackens its good name'
Hilarious stuff from the lawnmower racers.
"The post-race punch-up at Saturday's Lake Hayes A&P Show had blackened the sport's good name, said the preseident of the lawnmower racers' association looking to take the burgeoning sport nationwide."
Lawnmower racing has a good name?
Who knew!
Barry Dawe went on to say, poetically and somewhat ironically:
"The first thing we thought when we saw the articles was "we don't want people thinking that's what lawnmower racing's all about,' because we're really fierce about safety and having a good time."
Really fierce!
Bet that's what the rugby league guys say as well. Good times for all. Fierce good times.
I watched lawnmower racing once.
Makes as much sense to me as mowing lawns.
