Marvelous Mr Fukuoka
“I was aiming at a pleasant, natural way of farming” he said, “which results in making the work easier instead of harder. ‘How about not doing this? How about not doing that?’ – that was my way of thinking”
Masanobu Fukuoka 's got the right idea about farming. His book, 'The One Straw Revolution' sits on my bookshelf, when it isn't being read by visitors to our food forest, and points to a better way of living with the land.
This site, Make Wealth History, has a very good article on Fukuoka and his work.
As a fan of Mr Fukuoka, I recommend that you read it and 'The One Straw Revolution', if you can find a copy.
It's life-changing.

One of the reading groups in my class is call 'the One Straw [revolution] group'. None of the adults have picked up on it yet :)
You'll have to be that 'one straw' then Bio!
Splitting and spreading the blueberries today and meeting with the councilman over the toetoe on the roadside!
