Do you take these pics Robert?
If so what camera are you using?
I have been taking lots of silhouettes and sunset lately, got a fantastic twisted old Coprosma repens yesterday.

Hey Shunda - I do take most of them but this one was taken by the sculptor. I'll find out for you what he's shooting on.
Do you like his work?
The moose is spectacular when you are standing below it. The huge thing reminds me of the moose skeleton at the Canterbury museum -it's gigantic!
The whole 'people's art' thing is taking off here. I'm providing the link with the media and so we've featured in the papers already, but this latest round will really stir up public interest and debate. Wayne's gifted me the Ogon sculpture, which now stands in my garden, looking out over the estaury, yearning I know, to get back out on the water, which I know one day he will!

And ... repens is a great coastal shrub, full of contort. There's an island off the coast here, Matariki, which is tightly covered and all but impossible to penetrate. There are sea bird burrows under there too, I've seen the birds plummeting down into the repens at dusk. That coprosma isn't 'natural' down here though. It's a fairly recent arrival.
