  1. Bloody good cartoon that, but the polls suggest otherwise; here's the latest which the HoS has unsurprisingly buried deep on its website!

Nats 56%; Labour 26%; Greens 11.3% and Winnie's vote wasted.

  2. I give more credence to the cartoonists than I do the polls, Inventory2.
They are more immediate and transparent.

  6. This should make you sceptical about the Horizon poll

It probably won't though, because you only see what you want to see, a trait which I am also probably guilty of.

As Pauline says; roll on this Saturday.

  7. John key spends all his time 'rejecting propositions' even when the evidence proves things. He is a classic narcissist.

  8. Inventory checked the website out cannot comment re multi votes ..

lets face it the same negative comment could be said about all the other polls as they are telephone polls of people on landlines ..ahhh a lot of people now do not have a landline they rely on cellphone or Internet communication

Also Inventory a very very right wing blog wouldn't you say :) is keeping stock

  9. Sceptical, Inv2? I've always been sceptical of the polls, never trumpeting them as you do :-)

Anonymous - this constant refuting of claims by Key is really something. He refutes regularly and forcefully, which to the jaded ear, sounds mad, especially when it's clear he hasn't even heard the facts he's refuting. He does it as a matter of course and doesn't get pinged for it, especially by the casual viewer (I'm guessing).

Pauline - very, very right-wing indeed! I'd add, so one-eyed as to be monocular!

  10. Its interesting with the Horizon poll how the not only the Winston first party vote has increased but also how the conservative vote has increased. Also how the National vote has decreased :)

By the way Robert would really enjoy a reply to my letter yesterday from the Greens and Labour and maybe NZ 1st on their policy for political appointees to replace democratic appointees.

  11. You are right on the button with your letter, Pauline. I enjoyed it very much (writing on the wall and all that). I'll read it again now. Do you have an electronic version you can send me? I'll post it.

  12. Maybe it was one of those weird herbal teas, the type that Don Brash thinks should be decriminalised. Banksie is into that kind of thing, isn't he? He's only conservative on the surface
