House hugging

I like to see fruit trees (usually plums) growing right up against houses, usually unoccupied and deteriorating (the houses, that is). There's a great example down at the bottom of the hill that I'll photograph today but in the meantime, here's one I saw during an expedition to get apple scions from, I think, the Waikaia area.

Used to be a house on the road out to the Nuggets Lighthouse that had a tree growing right through the center. Fascinated me as a kid. No one was living in it but was still pretty much intact
